Cleaning your makeup brushes
Dirty and Soiled Makeup Brushes contribute to acne.
When you leave your brushes dirty, even if only for a day, your brushes harbor makeup residue, dead skin cells and natural oils or sweat if setting makeup in humid temperatures. This build up causes bacteria to breed. When you apply your makeup the next day, you are applying all of that debris and bacteria. This is a acne-prone skin's nightmare or a dream breeding ground for more bacteria. Dirty brushes can lead to breakouts, especially, of your acne prone. The rule of thumb, folks with active acne, should clean their brushes daily. Others with no acne present acne, but acne prone, you should clean it 1-2 a week. The longest one should wait for non acne prone skin, is no more than a week. It should be cleansed once a week. |
